Copyright policy

iGotReel respects the rights of creators and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how to tell us about content that infringes your copyright, and what happens next.
1. Report in the app
The quickest way is the Report button on a reel, Projection, comment or profile. Choose Copyright: it uses my music or video and tell us what is yours.
2. Send a written notice
If you are the copyright owner, or you act for the owner, you can send a written notice to our designated agent:
Designated Copyright Agent
iGotReel, Copyright Notices
65 Wynford Heights Crescent, Toronto, Ontario M3C 1L7, Canada
Online: our contact form at https://igotreel.com/contact/ (choose "Copyright")
Your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you say was infringed;
- where the material is on iGotReel (a link, or the reel's title and the username of its poster);
- your contact details (name, address, phone and email);
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner, or authorised to act for the owner.
If you knowingly misrepresent that material is infringing, you may be liable for damages.
3. What we do
When we receive a valid notice we act quickly to remove or disable access to the material, and we tell the person who posted it. We may also tell them who made the complaint.
4. Counter-notice
If you posted material that was removed and you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must include:
- your signature;
- what was removed and where it was before removal;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you agree to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, outside the United States, for Ontario, Canada), and that you will accept legal papers from the person who made the original complaint.
We send your counter-notice to the person who complained. If they do not tell us within 10 business days that they have started a court action, we may restore the material in 10 to 14 business days.
5. Repeat infringers
We end the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe copyright.
6. Other rights
For concerns about trademarks, privacy or other rights, use our contact form at https://igotreel.com/contact/.
