Terms of use
Last updated October 29, 2026
Effective date: October 29, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and iGotReel, 65 Wynford Heights Crescent, Toronto, Ontario M3C 1L7, Canada ("iGotReel", "we"). By creating an account or using iGotReel you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Who can use iGotReel
We ask for your date of birth when you sign in and do not let anyone under 16 create an account. You must be at least 16 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it for you to agree to these terms. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian allows you to use iGotReel where the law requires it. Events that collect audience footage are for people aged 18 or over. You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
2. What iGotReel does
iGotReel lets you record with other phones, edit the footage together and post the result as reels and Projections. Some features (for example Projection, which needs at least three cameras) have conditions shown in the app.
3. Your content and our license
You own what you record and post. You are responsible for it.
When you post, upload, share a shoot code, or offer a clip to a shoot or Event, you give iGotReel a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process (for example make smaller versions), display and deliver it, only to run iGotReel and show it to the people you chose. You can end this license for a piece of content by deleting it, except that:
- copies other people already made with the permissions you gave (for example a remix) may stay;
- we may keep what the law requires.
Remixing. Each reel has a setting for who may remix it. If you allow remixing, the people you allow may use your reel to make new reels, with credit to you shown in the app. You can change the setting at any time, but not for reels already made.
Shoots. Footage from cameras on a shoot belongs to the people who recorded it. By sending clips to a shoot you let the Shoot Lead and producers view, edit and publish them as part of that shoot's film. Audience clips at an Event are used only if the Event's producers choose them, under the terms shown when you joined. Withdrawing from an Event stops your unused clips being used; films already published may remain.
4. Rules
You must not post, upload or share anything that:
- is illegal, or encourages illegal acts;
- sexually involves a minor, or sexualises minors in any way;
- is hateful, harasses, threatens, or shows graphic violence meant to shock;
- shows a person who has not agreed to be recorded in a private place, or that you have no right to post;
- infringes someone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights, including music and video you do not own or have permission to use;
- is spam, misleading, or pretends to be another person or brand;
- contains malware, or tries to break, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer iGotReel.
You must have the right to everything you post. If your reel uses sound or video you do not own, you are responsible for getting permission.
5. Reporting, moderation and enforcement
You can report a reel, comment or account in the app, and you can block people. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or end accounts that break these terms, with or without notice. We may act on content that harms people even if no one reports it. Copyright complaints are handled under our Copyright Policy. We remove content from repeat infringers.
We do not promise to review everything, and we are not responsible for what users post.
6. Deleting your content and account
You can delete reels, clips, shoots and your whole account in the app. A deleted shoot can be restored for 7 days and is then removed for good. Deleting your account removes your profile, reels, clips and video files, as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Footage safety
We build iGotReel to protect your footage, for example by keeping a clip on your phone until you choose to send it, and by saving a copy to your Photos if you leave that setting on. But footage kept only on a phone can be lost if the phone is lost, reset, or the app is deleted. We cannot promise that footage will never be lost. Keep your own copies of anything important.
8. Our rights
iGotReel, its design, software, logo and name belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app only as these terms allow. Please do not copy it, resell it, or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without paying you.
9. Third-party services
iGotReel works with services from Apple, Google and others. Their own terms apply to those services. We are not responsible for them.
10. Disclaimers
iGotReel is provided "as is" and "as available". We do not promise it will always work, be free of errors, or keep every file. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties not stated here.
11. Limit of our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim about iGotReel is limited to [the greater of the amount you paid us in the last 12 months and USD 100]. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. If you break these terms
You agree to cover the reasonable costs of claims from other people that arise from your content or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.
13. Changes, ending, and law
We may change these terms or the app. If a change is important we will tell you in the app first. If you keep using iGotReel after the change takes effect, you accept it. You may stop using iGotReel at any time. We may suspend or end the service or your access as these terms allow.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes will be decided in the courts of Toronto, Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your own courts.
